Ryan Jones - April 2019
Ryan Jones studies marine biology and conservation biology. In this exhibition, Ink of Extinction, Ryan used hand carved linoleum plates to create impactful visual images of endangered species to engage the public and bring awareness to marine conservation and environmental terrorism. The color and life in his work pulls the viewer close and whispers a reminder that our actions have an effect on the whole planet. Ryan's prints are easy to be around and beautiful to look at, but spark conversation about heavier things. Catch Ryan around town this summer helping kiddos make things at Seattle ReCreative outreach events!
We will be celebrating Ryan's Art work while he is out in the middle of the ocean working with marine life! Art Walk April 12, 6-9pm. Artwork is up now and for the whole month long!
