Drawing Club: Doodles to Drawing
This drawing class is for any young artist who is interested in developing their own unique style! Students will learn to draw from observation, from their imagination and play collaborative drawing games to grow their artistic skills and creative brain. Students will be introduced to the importance of sketching/doodling practice and taught how to make simple recycled sketchbooks for their art making. Artists of all levels are encouraged to join!
Date: March 4 to April 1 (Five Saturdays)

About the Instructor
Jona is a freelance illustrator and designer who grew up frequenting her local creative reuse shop in Ann Arbor, Michigan, and still loves any excuse to create and get messy! Jona worked for over 3 years as an arts educator at the Chicago Children's Museum, then provided counseling and art therapy in community mental health agencies for 3 years. She earned her B.F.A. in Film, Photography and Visual Art from Ithaca College and her M.A. in Counseling and Art Therapy from Adler University. Check out her work at jonashoe.com!
